My administration would LOVE to charge us for the costs and processing of the forms they make us fill out. Eep, I hope they don't get any ideas!

At our beginning-of-the-year college meeting, our dean actually, literally told us to be happy we had jobs at all. I think he meant it as a joke? But seriously, dude: you're doing it wrong.
Doing what wrong? Misusing the animation program or misusing my bully pulpit?
I believe that's directed at the dean, since his comment is along the lines of "the firings will continue until morale improves."

well done TR! Especially use of laugh track and hoots and hollers track. Also, the "look" of the indignant protagonist professor is fabulous. Next episode: Will the Professor actually fill out those online course forms? Will the Dean close the department of history? Will TR herself appear in this animated series wearing a superhero costume and a big TR emblazoned on her chest? And what will her super powers be? Holy Tenure, Batman!

It was probably not ideal that I watched this and then filled out a survey about how faculty are compensated for their work in a particular area at my institution.... Woops :)

Oh, sorry, TR: that "you're doing it wrong" was directed at my dean. You are doing it exactly RIGHT.
"I want a raise" voiced in slightly stilted British accent...a catch-phrase just about to take off on my campus.
This week I have heard several people toss that line out there as an expression of exasperation with various aspects of university life (not all directly related to pay, either). TR, your audience may be wider than you think!
