A Brief Sports Interlude

OK, one of the things most people in the blogosphere do not know about the Radical is that she is a rower, and an extremely competitive one. Also she is the academic advisor to the Zenith men's crew, and competitive on their behalf.

And can we say that the Zenith guys (otherwise known as Wesleyan Men's Rowing) just *hammered* Williams on Saturday? Every single boat?

Awesome.

Wow, a rower. I am impressed! I used to row bow. Unfortunately, there is not too much rowing to be done on the Bayous. A shell would not last a second and even a clinker would not last long. Thus, rowing is now in my past.

Ah, anyone who beats Williams is on my good side. Spent years as a college golfer (and after) envying them for their course. And their basketball team has been just too good for too long.

Noooooo! My poor alma mater!!

or actually, maybe I'm happy you beat them... ;-)

(I rowed for a year, in England, and loved it. I've just never lived anywhere since where I could take it up again. It's one of the few places where physical heft is valued in a woman!)
