So that's what all those Explosion Noises outside my window were about.
And here I was hoping the Revolution was going to come and whisk me away from my reading.
(Will there still be a Philadelphia to wake up to tomorrow, or should I not bother setting the alarm?)
Ah! What bliss! Remember Larry Bowa burned into your pine wood on Bat Day 1968? And Tony Taylor burned into mine? You and I went to our first Phillies game together, my sistah! Remember Dad saying we were just going to a "picnic", and ending up at Veteran's Stadium instead? Don Money! Remember?
How we have waited for this blissful and momentous occasion!
Wheeeeeeee!! Phillies win!

Of course, as usual, you lucked out in this raffle: You got the bat for the .300 --hitting outfielder; I got the bat for the All-Star short stop who could barely break .200.

At last. I've been waiting for this turn to serious matters after all the frivolous political stuff. Congratulations. Enjoy!
Of course, as NPR helpfully reminded us, everytime we win the world series, a Republican wins the Presidency.
Only's happened twice, but still...
Boo, as I've been living in Tampa and following the Rays since 2001. Well played, even if unconventional at times. Congrats!
