Gay. for a while i did alumni organizing, but i couldn't manage it after a year or so--Oligarch alums are AWFUL in the extreme. i miss it, a little--even though i live in new york. i'm getting my phd at a school that is wonderfully left wing if you're white and straight (you know it--right up the street from Potemkin?), but it's a sad place if you want to talk about queerness intelligenty. or if you study a region of the world not the us, latin america, or eastern europe.

state of mind has been added to my tivo--an excellent alternative to csi:miami for study breaks. my current new york therapist has a practice in shoreline as well. too many therapists per square inch there.ajnabiehhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00256162101696026785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36212542.post-50225129592731868272007-07-17T13:49:00.000-05:002007-07-17T13:49:00.000-05:00I have always wanted to see the inside of the smoo...I have always wanted to see the inside of the smoothie factory condos. I just think it would be fun to say you lived there!

As the most recent movie filming denied me access to my own office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., I was a little less than thrilled about it, but the set was entertaining. I got to look at it a lot while trying to convince security to let me into my office.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36212542.post-88466255641837460262007-07-16T22:52:00.000-05:002007-07-16T22:52:00.000-05:00Right, sorry: too much wine. What I meant was that the amendment in this state sought to finally and forever disallow gay marriage - and that this was superfluous (sp.) given this state.

It passed, of course.G.A.S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14375531139369185095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36212542.post-84401036350862766542007-07-16T22:47:00.000-05:002007-07-16T22:47:00.000-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.gwoertendykehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00542058287462910446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36212542.post-25230240886906091452007-07-16T22:36:00.000-05:002007-07-16T22:36:00.000-05:00against a gay marriage amendment, g.a.s? i'm assu...against a gay marriage amendment, g.a.s? i'm assuming that i'm missing something....gwoertendykehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00542058287462910446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36212542.post-87066318601139015952007-07-16T22:06:00.000-05:002007-07-16T22:06:00.000-05:00Could you please send a little NYC my way here dow...Could you please send a little NYC my way here down south? I put a sign in my yard against a gay marriage amendment (which was, needeless to say, already superflouos in this state) and 1. it was stolen; 2. my mailbox was bashed in with a bat.

I lived in NYC for 10 years prior to this place in the south (I lived in Wash. Heights: a fantastic place). It is all I can do to suppress my desire to call his service and tell him to watch.

Yes, I think it's worth it to tape all of them -- how can writing move forward without junk TV? I've already missed big chunks of Girl Positive, about an HIV+ teen in a suburban high school. But I have not missed a minute of Army Wives, which is my newest dirty little secret. That and my collection of Phyllis Schlafly books.

TRTenured Radicalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05703980598547163290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36212542.post-57921918419710209252007-07-15T12:57:00.000-05:002007-07-15T12:57:00.000-05:00That sounds like a great place to live. I am, mainly because I love Lily Taylor and would watch her in anything. I am excited by the rise in strong women on cable and network TV shows: The Closer (Kyra Sedgewick)and Medium (Patricia Arquette) are joined by State of Mind (Lily Taylor), Saving Grace (Holly Hunter), and Damages (Glenn Close). Some of the new shows may suck... can't say yet. But I plan to record them on the DVR and see which ones speak to me.Lesboprofhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09249806181782620274noreply@blogger.com
